Projects

In addition to our core programme of student activities and teacher training, CEWC-Cymru runs shorter-term projects focusing on particular areas of citizenship education. These result in the development of expertise within our organisation, and of resources for teachers and students.

Our main project at present is Wiser Wales, a 3-year exploration of the potential for using Philosophy for Children in Welsh classrooms.

Other important past projects have included:

• Inclusion, a project to enable disadvantaged young people to access citizenship education
• A series of linked projects focusing on school councils and democratic participation
