One World Conference
The One World Conference is currently our only annual event for primary schools. It aims to increase younger pupils’ awareness of ethnic and religious diversity, and to encourage respect for other cultures.
In the morning, pupils are involved in two workshops run by different organisations, one of which usually has a creative arts focus. In the afternoon, drama activities are used for further exploration of diversity issues.
The conference is run in a different area each year, and is supported by Mr H A Khatib in memory of his father, Dr Abdul Qadir Khatib.
If you are interested in teaching about diversity in the classroom, resources are available via Citizenship Today, our on-line membership system.
