Model United Nations conferences

The United Nations (UN) is an international organisation with 192 member countries. These conferences simulate the work of the UN and help you to discuss big issues like poverty, climate change and education. They're held in local council chambers and are set up to look as close to the real thing as possible.

Students work in teams of 3, and are welcome to speak in either Welsh or English. If you don't understand Welsh, put on the headphones provided and you'll get an instant translation! We also run a Welsh-only event in partnership with Cymdeithas y Cymod.

Taking part

If you'd like to take part, take a look at our list of forthcoming events. Then ask a teacher to contact us for a registration form. You can ask to represent any country in the world, but please be aware that some countries - like the UK, China, USA and Brazil - are very popular choices!

The photo gallery below will give you a better idea of how the event works.
