Events for students
CEWC-Cymru arranges a number of events each year to get young people involved in local and global issues.
All of the events focus on ‘learning by doing’. Rather than being lectured about the United Nations, National Assembly for Wales or European Parliament, students take part in extended role-play exercises which help them to develop skills of teamwork, communication, critical thinking and research. CEWC-Cymru puts in place the organisation and framework for each event, but the really interesting work is done by the students!
Most of our events are for secondary school students, but we also run a One World Conference for primary schools, and are always open to schools’ suggestions for new events.
